- Step 1 Heat a nonstick pan with 1 tsp oil, add 1/8 tsp rai, 1/8 tsp jeera, 1/8 tsp hing, 2 tbsp chopped onion and cook until they turn light brown.
- Step 2 Add 2 tbsp chopped tomato, 1/4 tsp haldi and the cooked moong dal.
- Step 3 Mix well and let it cook
- Step 4 Add 1/4 cup chopped spinach to the dal and mix again.
- Step 5 Add 1/4 tsp salt for taste and pour in some water
- Step 6 Cover and let it simmer for a while.
- Step 7 Stir the dal and sprinkle 1/8 tsp crushed jeera
- Step 8 Give it a Nutritional Twist by adding amchur
- Step 9 Serve hot with rice.
