Zarda or sweet rice, a popular North Indian rich delicacy known for it's royal flavors and taste. A generous amount of ghee, sugar, saffron and nuts makes the dish aromatic and delicious for any occasion.

  • Wash and cook rice and keep aside.

  • Soak few strands of kesar in Nestlé A+ Milk and keep aside.

  • In a pan, heat 2 tsp ghee.

  • To that add 1 bay leaf, 1 green elaichi, 5 raisins, 2 tsp chopped almond, 1 tsp chopped cashew and stir.

  • Then add 1/4th cup Nestlé A+ Milk, kesar Nestlé A+ Milk, 1 tbsp sugar and allow it to simmer.

  • When it starts to simmer, add 1.5 cup cooked rice and mix well.

  • Serve hot.
