- Step 1
For Filling
In a pan, add 1/2 cup grated fresh coconut, 1/4th cup jaggery powder, and 1/8th tsp green elaichi powder.

Mix all ingredients well till jaggery melts.
- Step 3
For Dough
Add water and 1/8th tsp salt in 1/4th cup whole wheat flour and knead a soft dough.
- Step 4
Take a small portion, make round shapes, add filling and seals the sides.
- Step 5
Prepare the rest.
- Step 6
Heat oil for deep frying and transfer the modak to the hot oil.
- Step 7
Fry modak till crisps.
- Step 8
Delicious modak is ready to serve.
