Wheat Bhakri With Ghee Recipe

A round golden crisp flattened savory bread that is common among Gujarati and Maharashtrian families. It tastes best with everything - sabzi, Nestlé A+ Curd or just pickle. A very fulfilling finger food to curb your little ones hunger.

5.0 Tbsp(44.0 gm) Wheat Flour (Whole)
0.13 Tsp(0.56 gm) Salt
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Ghee
1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Ghee
20.0 Ml(20.0 ml) Water
  • In a bowl add 3 tbsp wheat flour, 1/2 tsp ghee, 1/8 tsp salt.

  • Sprinkle 1/8 tsp sesame seeds.

  • Add water and knead a little hard dough.

  • Roll into ball, press and roll it into round shape.

  • Heat tawa, place the bhakri and smear 1/2 tsp ghee.

  • Roast the bhakri on both sides evenly by pressing it gently with a wooden press till crispy and golden brown.

  • Serve hot.
