Tomato Chutney Recipe

Tomato Chutney is a tangy, mildly spicy condiment high in Vitamin C, antioxidants and fiber. It goes well with South Indian dishes and can be spread on bread or served with paratha. It aids in building immunity.

1/2 Chopped Tsp(1.0 gm) Green Chilli
2.0 Number(0.22 gm) Kadi Patta
0.13 Tsp(0.47 gm) Urad Dal
0.13 Powder Tsp(0.27 gm) Red Chilly
0.13 Tsp(0.37 gm) Hing
0.13 Tsp(0.46 gm) Rai
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
1/2 Tsp(2.0 ml) Oil
20.0 Ml(20.0 ml) Water
  • In a blender add 1/4 cup chopped tomato, 1/4 cup chopped onion, 1/4 tsp chopped green chilli, 1/2 tsp chopped ginger, 1/2 tsp chopped garlic, 1/4 tsp hing, 1/4 tsp salt,1/4 tsp red chilly powder

  • Blend it to smooth consistency.

  • For tempering

    Add 1/2 tsp oil, 1/4 tsp Rai, 1/4 tsp urad dal, 2 no. kadi patta, add tomato mixture & mix well.

  • Serve.
