Til Palak Roti Recipe

Spinach is a good source of iron and many other vitamins and minerals. Adding spinach to regular roti adds vibrant colour and nutrients. Make the dough with a handful of sesame seeds for added protein benefits.

1/4 Cup(14.0 gm) Palak
1 Tsp(3.0 gm) White Til
2 Tbsp(7.0 ml) Oil
1/8 Tsp(0.54 gm) Salt
1/4 Tsp(0.74 gm) Hing
1/8 Powder Tsp(0.36 gm) Black Pepper
1/2 Grated Tsp(0.47 gm) Ginger
1/8 Chopped Tsp(0.26 gm) Green Chilli
3 Tbsp(26.0 gm) Wheat Flour (Whole)
  • In a mixing bowl, take 3 tbsp wheat flour, 1/8th tsp chopped green chilli, 1/8th tsp black pepper powder, 1/4th tsp hing, 1/8th tsp salt, 1 tsp til and 1/4th tsp grated ginger.

  • Mix well using your hand, add palak puree and knead it into a soft dough.

  • Rolling it in a ball, coat them very lightly with wheat flour, flatten them and make it in a circular roti shape using a rolling pin.

  • Add 2 tsp oil and roast from both sides.

  • Serve hot with ketchup.
