Tamarind Chutney Recipe

Tamarind chutney is a delectable, tangy blend of tamarind and jaggery. It is commonly used in chaats or as an accompaniment with any Indian dish to enhance the flavour and make the meal complete.

2.0 Tbsp(26.0 gm) Tamarind
2.0 Powder Tbsp(21.0 gm) Jaggery
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
20.0 Ml(20.0 ml) Water
  • In a pan, add 2 tbsp jaggery powder, 2 tbsp tamarind pulp and mix.

  • Now add water as required, stirring continuously.

  • Add 1/4th tsp salt, mix well.

  • Allow it to boil and thicken.

  • Serve with any dish as a topping or sauce.
