A usual upma made more nutritious with the addition of sweet potato to enhance flavors.
Take 1/4th cup sweet potato, boil and dice it. Keep aside.
In a kadhai heat 1 tsp oil, 1/4th tsp rai, 1/2 tsp chopped green chilli, 5 kadi patta, 1/8th tsp hing and sauté.
Once the rai starts crackling, add 1 tbsp chopped onion,1 tbsp chopped tomato, 1/4th cup suji, 1/4th tsp salt.
Pour in a little water and mix it well.
Once it starts simmering add previously boiled and diced sweet potato and sprinkle 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves.
Garnish it with kadi patta.
Serve hot with coriander chutney.
