Sweet Potato Cutlet Recipe

Sweet potato cutlet, a tasty, sweet and salty snack recipe with a subtle hint of spices, is a quick and healthy snack for the kids. This can be packed in a kid's tiffin or served as a snack with ketchup. This recipe is high in healthy nutrients such as vitamins, antioxidants and fiber.

1/2 Boiled Mashed Cup(126.0 gm) Sweet Potato
1.0 Tbsp(8.0 gm) Bread Crumbs
1.0 Tsp(4.0 ml) Lemon Juice
1/4 Powder Tsp(0.54 gm) Red Chilly
1/4 Tsp(0.41 gm) Dhania Powder
0.13 Tsp(0.26 gm) Dry Mango Powder
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
2.0 Tsp(7.0 ml) Oil
  • In a bowl boil, chop, mash sweet potato and keep aside.

  • Take a mixing bowl and add 1/2 cup of the previously mashed sweet potato, 1/4th tsp salt, 1/4th tsp dhania powder, 1/4th tsp red chilli powder, 1/8th tsp dry mango powder and mix properly with hand.

  • Making sure all the ingredients are evenly distributed, make small balls of the batter.

  • Shape them into regular cutlet shape, coat with 1 tbsp breadcrumbs and keep aside.

  • Heat 2 tsp oil on a low flame in a frying pan.

  • Shallow fry the cutlets on both sides till crispy and golden brown.

  • Garnish with a coriander leaf.

  • Serve hot with ketchup.
