Bajra With Sugar Recipe

A usual porridge with a twist yet tasty as always. Nutritious protein rich porridge of bajra boiled in milk and sweetened with sugar makes a typical Indian dessert.

1 Cup(204.0 ml) Milk
2 Tbsp(25.0 ml) Bajra
1.5 Tbsp(19.0 gm) Sugar
1 Tsp(4.0 gm) Ghee
  • In a pan, heat 1/2 cup of milk.

  • Add soaked and pressure cooked bajra and bring it to a boil.

  • Add 1.5 tbsp sugar, mix it well.

  • Add 1 tsp ghee and cook it until it comes to the consistency of halwa.

  • Garnish it with nuts and serve hot.
