Surmai Fish Curry Recipe

1.5 Tbsp(23.0 ml) Coconut Milk

2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Coriander Leaves (Chopped)

1/2 Tsp(3.0 gm) Ginger Garlic Paste
ingredients
1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Tamarind Pulp
ingredients
1/2 Tsp(1.0 gm) Red Chilly (Powder)

1/4 Tsp(0.6 gm) Haldi
ingredients
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt

1 Tbsp(8.0 ml) Oil

As Required(50.0 ml) Water
  • Take 2 surmai fish pieces, add 1/4th tsp red chilly powder, 1/8th tsp haldi, 1/4th tsp salt, 1/2 tsp tamarind pulp, 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste and marinate the fish pieces.

  • In a pan heat 1 tbsp oil.

  • Add marinated fish pieces and shallow fry it until cooked.

  • To the pan, add water, 1/4th tsp red chilly powder, 1/8th tsp haldi and let it simmer, 1.5 tbsp coconut milk and allow it to simmer.

  • Sprinkle 2 tsp chopped coriander leaves, mix and cook well.

  • Serve hot with rice.
