Surati Dal Recipe

Surati dal is an easy and sweet-sour gujarati dal. It is a no onion and no garlic gujarati dal. It has a thin consistency. Dals are considered to be the best anti-aging food items. It is a powerhouse of fiber, protein and other essential nutrients.

100.0 Ml(100.0 ml) Water
  • In a kadhai, melt 2 tsp ghee.

  • Add 1/4 tsp rai,1 tbsp peanuts, roast them.

  • Add cooked dal,5 kadi patta, 1 tsp chopped ginger, 1/4 tsp haldi, 1/4 tsp red chilly powder and 1 tbsp chopped tomato. Mix well.

  • To this mixture, 1 tsp tamarind paste, 2 tsp chopped jaggery and mix well.

  • Garnish with 1/2 tsp chopped coriander leaves.

  • Serve hot.
