Suji Medu Vada Recipe

Medu vada is a South Indian breakfast snack, usually made in a doughnut shape, with a crispy exterior and soft interior. This suji version is made protein-rich with urad dal, chana dal, and suji batter making it even more flavorful.

2 Tbsp(16.0 ml) Oil
0.1 Tsp(0.53 gm) Baking Soda
1 Chopped Tbsp(3.0 gm) Coriander Leaves
30 Ml(30.0 ml) Water
1/2 Chopped Tsp(0.94 gm) Ginger
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Green Chilli Paste
1/4 Cup(36.0 gm) Nestlé A+ Curd
1/4 Cup(46.0 gm) Suji
  • Take semolina batter add into the 1/10 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp grated ginger, 1/4 tsp green chilli paste, 1/4 tsp salt, 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves and mix it well.

  • Take oil in a pan for frying

  • Make batter into a doughnut shape and fry until it turns golden brown.

  • Serve with chutney or sambhar.
