Sprouted Moong Falafel Recipe

These traditional dish from Middle Eastern cuisine is very popular across the globe as a fast food. As falafel are made from lentils, these are naturally gluten free, vegetarian & high protein food.

65.6 Ml(66.0 ml) Water
2 Chopped Tbsp(16.0 gm) Onion
13 Number(2.0 gm) Garlic
1/2 Tsp(0.82 gm) Dhania Powder
1/2 Tsp(0.88 gm) Jeera Powder
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
1/4 Powder Tsp(0.75 gm) Black Pepper
1/2 Powder Tsp(1.0 gm) Red Chilly
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Baking Soda
2 Tsp(7.0 ml) Oil
  • Add soaked, sprouted and boiled moong, 2 tbsp chopped onion, 1 no. garlic, 1/2 tsp coriander powder, 1/2 tsp cumin powder, 1/4th tsp salt, 1/4th tsp black pepper powder, 1/2 tsp red chilly powder, 1/4th tsp baking soda, mix well.

  • Blend coarsely.

  • Make small tikkis.

  • Add 2 tsp oil, add tikkis and shallow fry from both sides.
