Sprouted Moong Cabbage Vada Recipe

A savoury fried snack from India, made protein rich with the sprouted moong batter serve it with refreshing cooling mint chutney.

1 Tbsp(14.0 gm) Whole Moong
40.6 Ml(41.0 ml) Water
2 Tbsp(16.0 ml) Oil
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
1/4 Tsp(0.59 gm) Jeera
1/2 Chopped Tsp(1.0 gm) Green Chilli
1 Chopped Tbsp(3.0 gm) Coriander Leaves
1 Chopped Tbsp(8.0 gm) Onion
1/4 Chopped Cup(24.0 gm) Cabbage
  • In a bowl, mix together moong paste, 1/4th cup chopped cabbage, 1/4th tsp jeera, 1/2 tsp chopped green chilli, 1/4th tsp salt, 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves, 1 tbsp chopped onions and mix well.

  • Make small portions of the batter and deep fry in oil.

  • Drain the vadas on an absorbent paper and serve hot.
