Spinach Soup Recipe

A low calorie, simple to make with easily available common kitchen ingredients, palak soup loaded with iron and fiber is an idle appetiser to be served to all.

1 Cup(54.0 gm) Palak (Chopped)
3 Tbsp(24.0 gm) Onion (Chopped)
1 Tsp(2.0 gm) Garlic (Chopped)
1/8 Tsp(0.31 gm) Black Pepper
1 Tsp(4.0 gm) Cream
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
3 Tsp(12.0 gm) Butter
As Requried(100.0 ml) Water
  • Take 1 cup chopped spinach, blanch it and then blend to form a spinach puree. Transfer to a bowl and keep aside.

  • Melt 3 tsp butter in a frying pot at a low flame and add 1 tsp chopped garlic, 3 tbsp chopped onion and sauté.

  • Once onions are translucent, add 1/4th tsp salt and 1 cup previously made spinach puree.

  • Mix and cover, allowing it to cook.

  • Once it starts simmering, add a little water and allow it to simmer for a few more minutes.

  • Once cooked, take off the flame and transfer to a serving bowl.

  • Garnish with 1/8th tsp black pepper and 1 tsp cream.

  • Serving hot.
