A low calorie, simple to make with easily available common kitchen ingredients, palak soup loaded with iron and fiber is an idle appetiser to be served to all.
Take 1 cup chopped spinach, blanch it and then blend to form a spinach puree. Transfer to a bowl and keep aside.
Melt 3 tsp butter in a frying pot at a low flame and add 1 tsp chopped garlic, 3 tbsp chopped onion and sauté.
Once onions are translucent, add 1/4th tsp salt and 1 cup previously made spinach puree.
Mix and cover, allowing it to cook.
Once it starts simmering, add a little water and allow it to simmer for a few more minutes.
Once cooked, take off the flame and transfer to a serving bowl.
Garnish with 1/8th tsp black pepper and 1 tsp cream.
