Spinach Misal Pav Recipe

Misal is a classic spicy Maharashtrian dish that is best served with bread or pav. The twist here is the lentils are cooked in spinach puree that makes it very delicious. This delicious Indian curry is rich in protein, iron and fiber.

2 Chopped Tbsp(25.0 gm) Tomato
150 Ml(100.0 ml) Water
2.5 Chopped Tbsp(20.0 gm) Onion
1/2 Puree Cup(27.0 gm) Palak
2 Number(191.0 gm) Pav
1 Tsp(3.0 ml) Oil
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
1 Tsp(1.0 gm) Garam Masala
1 Powder Tsp(2.0 gm) Red Chilly
  • Take a kadhai and heat 1 tsp oil in it.

  • Add 1 tsp chopped garlic, 1 tsp chopped ginger, 1/2 tsp hing, 2.5 tbsp chopped onion, 2 tbsp chopped tomato, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp haldi, 1/4 tsp salt and 1 tsp garam masala. Saute well.

  • Then add cooked pulses and mix.

  • Once mixed well, add water, spinach puree and 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves.

  • Bring it to a boil and stir.

  • Serve hot with pav.
