Spinach and Corn Whole Grain Tikkis Recipe

Spinach Corn Wholegrain Tikki is a delectable evening snack, that is tasty and healthy and an easy way to make the kids eat spinach and corn if they do not like it. Shallow-fried, delicious tikkis made from corn, spinach, daliya and a dash of spices, these are filling and just perfect for some tea-time snacking. 1 Cup(54.0 gm) Palak(Chopped)

1 Tbsp(11.0 gm) Sweet Corn

1/2 Tsp(3.0 gm) Ginger Garlic Paste

1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Green Chilli Paste
ingredients
1/4 Tsp(0.37 gm) Garam Masala

1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt

1 Tsp(3.0 ml) Oil
  • Prepreparation

    Boil 1/4th cup boiled corn, blanch 1 cup chopped palak. Blend into a paste and keep aside.

  • Soak 1.5 tbsp dalia in hot water for 30 min. Then blend into coarse paste and keep aside.

  • Boil 1 tbsp sweet corn and keep aside.

  • For the tikki

    In a mixing bowl, add in the blended dalia paste, spinach corn paste, 1 tbsp boiled sweet corn, 4 tbsp oats, 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1/4th tsp garam masala, 1/8th tsp salt, 1/4th tsp green chilli paste, and mix well.

  • Then add 1.5 tbsp bread crumbs and mix again.

  • Form 4 uniform tikkis and keep aside.

  • Take a thick botton pan and heat 1 tsp oil.

  • Shallow fry the tikkis till they turn golden brown on both the sides.

  • Pat for excess oil and serve hot with sauce.
