Steps
- Step 1 Before cooking, soak 2 tbsp of soya granules
- Step 2 In a pressure cooker, heat 1
- Step 3 5 tsp ghee
- Step 4 Add 1 tsp jeera and let it crackle
- Step 5 Next, add 1/4th cup rice, the soaked soya granules and mix well
- Step 6 Add 1/8th tsp salt,1/4th tsp each of red chilli powder and haldi and 2 tbsp tur dal
- Step 7 Add a sufficient quantity of water, and stir
- Step 8 Close the cooker with its lid and let the khichdi cook for 4 whistles
- Step 9 Remove and serve, adding 1 tsp of chopped coriander leaves as a garnish
- Step 10 Sprinkle white sesame seeds on top for a nutritional twist
