South Indian kadhi is famous in south of India. Multiple combination of ingredients make this dal very nutritious and high in enegy, protein and vitamins. Combination of rice with this kadhi makes this recipe a complete meal.
Take 2 tsp each of grated coconut and chana dal, 1 tsp of chopped green chillies, 1/2 tsp dhania powder and 1/4 tsp of jeera.
Grind it to a thick paste.
in a bowl, add 1/2 cup curd and 1/4th tsp salt to taste.
Add the ground coconut paste and mix well.
In a kadhai, heat 1 tsp ghee.
Put 1/2 tsp rai and let it crackle.
Next, add 4 leaves of kadi patta and prepared mixture and mix well.
Add the tempering to the kadhi, and serve hot with chapati or rice.
