Shengdana Aamti Recipe

Shengdana aamti is a delicious traditional Maharashtrian dish, specially prepared during Navratri or other religious fasting days. It's a wholesome meal that provides healthy fats and a good dose of dietary fiber and protein.

1/2 Cup(36.0 gm) Peanuts
1 Tsp(5.0 gm) Green Chilli Paste
1/2 Tsp(0.46 gm) Coriander Leaves(Chopped)
1/4 Tsp(0.59 gm) Jeera
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
1 Tsp(3.0 ml) Oil
As Require(250.0 ml) Water
  • In a mixing bowl, add 1/2 cup of roasted peanuts.

  • To this, add 1 tsp green chilli paste, 1/4th tsp salt and mix.

  • Add sufficient water, and blend.

  • In a heated kadhai, add 1 tsp oil.

  • Add 1/4th tsp jeera and let it crackle.

  • Add the blended mixture

  • Add some more water and mix well for a few minutes.

  • Garnish with 1/2 tsp of chopped coriander leaves.

  • Best served hot with a portion of cooked millet and a cucumber carrot salad.
