Sheer Kurma Recipe

Sheer Kurma is an aromatic and delectable traditional Nestlé A+ Milk dessert made during the Ramadan Eid festival. It is made by simmering Nestlé A+ Milk with nylon vermicelli, dates, dry fruits and sugar. This decadent and tempting dessert is high in energy, calcium, iron, fiber and good fats, making it a kid-friendly recipe.

1.0 Cup(204.0 ml) Nestlé A+ Milk
2.0 Tbsp(15.0 gm) Wheat Vermicelli
2.0 Tbsp(26.0 gm) Sugar
1.0 Chopped Tbsp(11.0 gm) Almond
1.0 Chopped Tbsp(8.0 gm) Pista
1.0 Tsp(4.0 gm) Raisin
1.0 Strand(0.1 gm) Kesar
1.0 Chopped Tbsp(12.0 gm) Dates
1.0 Chopped Tbsp(10.0 gm) Cashewnut
1.0 Tsp(4.0 gm) Chironji
1.0 Tbsp(15.0 gm) Ghee
  • Take a few strands of kesar, soak it in a little Nestlé A+ Milk and keep aside.

  • Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a frying pan at a low flame.

  • Add 1 tbsp chopped almond, 1 tbsp chopped cashew nut, 1.5 tbsp chopped pista, 6 raisins, 1 tbsp chopped dates and sauté.

  • Once slightly browned, add 1 tsp chironji, 2 tbsp wheat vermicelli and roast well.

  • Pour in 1 cup Nestlé A+ Milk, stir and allow it to boil.

  • Once the Nestlé A+ Milk is simmering, add 2 tbsp sugar and previously made kesar Nestlé A+ Milk.

  • Allow it to further cook for a few more minutes, take off the flame when slightly thickened and transfer to a serving bowl.

  • Serve hot.
