Sandesh Recipe

Sandesh is a dessert, originating from the Bengal region in the eastern part of the Indian subcontinent, created with milk and sugar.

1 Cup(204.0 ml) Milk
2.5 Tsp(10.0 ml) Lemon Juice
1 Tbsp(11.0 gm) Sugar (Powder)
1/8 Tsp(0.24 gm) Green Elaichi (Powder)
1/2 Tbsp(4.0 gm) Pista (Chopped)
As Required(10.0 ml) Water
  • In a pan, heat 1 cup milk, add little water and let it boil.

  • Remove the milk in a bowl, add 2.5 tsp lemon juice and stir continuously with a spoon.

  • The milk will start to curdle. After it curdles, strain the mixture using a cloth.

  • Transfer the strained extract into a bowl, add 1 tbsp powdered sugar and 1/8th tsp cardamom powder.

  • Mix it well and bind it into a round shape and add 1/2 tbsp chopped pistachios on it.

  • Sandesh is ready to serve.
