Sabudana Vada Recipe

Sabudana Vada is famous Maharshtrian snack. This snack time energy rich recipe is easy to make and easily packed in a lunchbox as well. Pair it with some mint chutney and relish its mouth watering flavours.

1/4 Cup(55.0 gm) Potato(Boiled, Mashed)

1/4 Cup(46.0 gm) Sabudana

2 Tbsp(21.0 gm) Peanuts

1/2 Tsp(0.46 gm) Coriander Leaves(Chopped)

1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Green Chilli Paste

1/4 Tsp(0.59 gm) Jeera

1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Salt

For Frying(16.0 ml) Oil
  • Roast 2 tbsp peanuts and grind it. Keep aside.

  • Soak 1/4th cup sabudana. Keep aside.

  • Boil and mash 1 medium size potato and keep aside.

  • In a mixing bowl, add soaked sabudana, 1/4th cup boiled and mashed potato, ground peanuts, 1/4th tsp chopped green chilli, 1/4th tsp jeera, and 1/2 salt.

  • Mix all the ingredients well.

  • Add 1/2 tsp chopped coriander leaves and mix again.

  • Roll the mixture into balls and press gently.

  • In a kadhai, heat oil for frying.

  • Deep fry the vadas till they turn golden brown.

  • Serve hot with mint chutney
