- Step 1
In a grinder add soaked rice, soaked chana dal and moong dal, 1/8 tsp jeera, 1/8 tsp tamarind, kadi patta and little water
- Step 2
Grind to a smooth and thick batter and transfer to a bowl
- Step 3
Add 1/8 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tbsp grated coconut, salt for taste and mix well
- Step 4
Cover and rest the batter for 5 mins
- Step 5
Heat a nonstick pan, brush with oil and pour a ladle of batter
- Step 6
Give it a Nestle twist by adding pumpkin seeds
- Step 7
Roast the adai evenly on both sides until crispy and golden brown
- Step 8
Serve hot with coconut chutney
