Raw Banana Stem Bhaji is a simple yet healthy South Indian recipe filled with antioxidants. The fibrous banana stem adds the crisp texture and aids in maintaining good digestive health. It is best served with steamed rice.
Blend 2 tbsp grated coconut in sufficient amount of water and keep aside
Crush 3 cloves of garlic and keep aside
In a kadhai, heat 1 tsp oil.
Add crushed garlic along with 1/8th sp haldi, 1/2 cup chopped plantain stem, 1/4th tsp red chilli powder, 1/4th tsp sambhar powder, 1/8th tsp salt and water as required.
Cover and let it simmer.
Then add coconut paste and let it simmer for a minute
To the mixture add 1.5 tsp chopped coriander leaves.
