Rajma Pulao (Kidney Beans Pulao) Recipe

As Required(200.0 ml) Water
  • Heat 1 tbsp ghee on a low flame in a pressure cooker.

  • Once the ghee has melted add 1 bay leaf, 1/4th tsp black pepper, 1 star anise, 1/2 pc. dalchini, 4 clove and 1/4th tsp jeera.

  • Once you begin to smell the delicious aroma of the spices add 2 tbsp chopped onion, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and 2 tbsp chopped tomato.

  • Saute till onions are transparent and tomatoes are slightly softened, then add boiled rajma, 1/4th tsp haldi, 1/4th tsp red chilli powder, 1/4th tsp dhania powder, 1/4th tsp garam masala, 1/4th tsp salt along with 3 tbsp soaked basmati rice.

  • Mix well such that all ingredients are evenly distributed. Add water and add 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves.

  • Cover and cook in the pressure cooker until done.

  • Serve it hot with cold raita
