Ragi Pancakes Recipe

Ragi Pancakes are delicious, fluffy, light, quick, and perfect as breakfast/dinner. The sweetness from the iron rich jaggery, and flavours of elaichi compliments nutritious ragi ( finger millet) flour beautifully making this an ideal and nutritious meal or snack for growing children and adults too.

3.0 Flour Tbsp(15.0 gm) Ragi
1.0 Powder Tbsp(10.0 gm) Jaggery
1/2 Chopped Tbsp(5.0 gm) Fresh Coconut
0.13 Powder Tsp(0.25 gm) Green Elaichi
1/2 Tsp(2.0 ml) Oil
20.0 Ml(20.0 ml) Water
  • In a mixing bowl, take 2 tbsp ragi flour, 1 tbsp jaggery powder, 1/2 tsp elaichi powder and 1 tbsp chopped coconut.

  • Pour in a little water and mix properly, making sure all the ingredients are evenly distributed in the batter. Keep aside.

  • Heat a nonstick fry pan at a low flame.

  • Pour the batter on the pan and spread evenly to form a pancake.

  • Apply 1 tsp oil and spread it evenly.

  • Flip and make sure both sides are browned well.

  • Garnish with bananas and chocolate sauce.

  • Serve fresh and hot.
