Ragi Idli with Coconut Chutney Recipe

  • For Idli

    In a bowl add 1 tbsp ragi flour to batter and mix well.

  • Greece the Idli moulds with 1 tsp oil and pour batter into the moulds

  • Set the moulds in the Idli stand, cover with lid and steam till the idlis are cooked.

  • Serve hot

  • For Chutney

    In a blender add 1/4th cup chopped fresh coconut, 1/2 tsp chopped ginger, 1 tbsp chana dal, 1/4th tsp tamarind paste, 1 tsp chopped green chili, 1/4th tsp salt and blenderize well adding water till desired consistency is obtained.

  • To make the tadka heat 1/2 tsp oil and add 1/2 tsp rai.

  • Allow it to crackle then add 4 no. kadi patta and 1/4th tsp black urad dal.

  • Pour the tadka on chutney and serve.
