Ragi Apple Kheer Recipe

It is a rich in iron and rich in fiber that helps with weight loss and diabetes and It's packed with calcium, good carbs, ammino acids and Vitamin D. It is great baby food as well.

3/4 Cup(153.0 ml) Milk

2 Tbsp(32.0 gm) Apple(Grated)

2 Tbsp(12.0 gm) Ragi(Flour)

2 Tsp(9.0 gm) Sugar

1 Tsp(3.0 gm) Pista(Chopped)

1/8 Tsp(0.24 gm) Green Elaichi(Powder)

4 No.(0.4 gm) Kesar(Strand)

1 Tsp(4.0 gm) Ghee
  • Melt 1 tsp ghee in a frying pan at a low flame.

  • Add 2 tbsp ragi flour and roast it.

  • Once golden brown, pour in 3/4th cup of milk, add 2 tsp sugar and 1/8th tsp cardamom powder.

  • Once the milk starts simmering add 1/4th cup grated apple, mix and allow it to cook for a few more minutes.

  • Add 1 tsp chopped pista and a few strands of kesar.

  • Keep stirring till the milk starts to thicken and you can smell a beautiful aroma, take off the flame and transfer to a serving bowl.

  • Serve chilled.
