Ragi Adai Recipe

5 Tbsp(31.0 gm) Ragi Flour
2 Grated Tbsp(24.0 gm) Bottle Gourd
1 Chopped Tbsp(3.0 gm) Coriander Leaves
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Green Chilli Paste
1/8 Tsp(0.54 gm) Salt
1.5 Tsp(5.0 gm) Coconut Oil
20 Ml(20.0 ml) Water
  • Heat 1 tsp coconut oil in a pan, add 2 tbsp grated bottlegourd, 1/4 tsp green chili paste and saute it.

  • Add 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves, mix well. Switch off the flame and let it cool down.

  • Add 5 tbsp ragi flour, 1/8 tsp salt and mix well.

  • Add warm water little by little and knead till a smooth dough is formed. The dough will be slightly sticky.

  • Grease a banana leaf or butter paper with oil.

  • Take a medium sized ball and place it on the greased sheet. Flatten it.

  • Pat it evenly with your fingers till its thin.

  • Heat a griddle, brush it with 1/2 tsp coconut oil and carefully add the ragi adai.

  • Roast it on both the sides till light brown.

  • Serve hot.
