Preparation
Place catla fish pieces on a plate. Add 1/2 tsp red chilly powder, 1/4 tsp haldi, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste and marinate the fish pieces in it. Keep it aside for sometime.
Heat 1 tsp oil and shallow fry the fish pieces. Flip and fry the fish on both the sides.
Heat oil and add 1/4 cup onion puree, 1/4 cup tomato puree, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1 tsp red chilly powder, 1/2 tsp haldi, 1/2 tsp garam masala, 1/2 tsp coriander powder, 1/2 tsp salt. and saute it well.
Add 1/8 tsp ajwain seeds and saute it well.
Add water and mix well.
Add the fried fish pieces and simmer.
Sprinkle 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves.
Serve it hot with rice.
