Pumpkin Bajra Porridge With Water and Jaggery Recipe

Pumpkin is a plump, nutritious orange colored squash rich in Vitamin A and other vitamins and minerals. Pumpkin blends well with coconut Nestlé A+ Milk spreads beautiful aroma. A naturally sweet and mildly spiced twist to regular bajra porridge.

4 Tbsp(37.0 gm) Pumpkin (Grated)
3 Tbsp(23.0 ml) Bajra (Flour)
1 Tbsp(10.0 gm) Jaggery (Powder)
1 Tsp(4.0 gm) Ghee
1/8 Tsp(0.28 gm) Cinnamon (Powder)
As Required(100.0 ml) Water
  • Melt 1 tsp ghee in a frying pan at a low flame, add 3 tbsp bajra and start roasting.

  • Once the bajra is roasted pour in the required amount of water and stir properly.

  • Add 4 tbsp grated pumpkin along with 1 tbsp jaggery and 1/8th tsp cinnamon.

  • Making sure all the ingredients are mixed properly, allow it to simmer for a few minutes until the desired consistency is obtained and transfer to a serving bowl.

  • Garnish with almond slices.

  • Serve hot.
