Pudina Moong Dal Recipe

1 Tbsp(17.0 gm) Moong Dal
1 Tsp(0.76 gm) Pudina (Chopped)
1 Tbsp(8.0 gm) Onion (Chopped)
1/2 Tbsp(6.0 gm) Tomato (Chopped)
1/2 Tsp(1.0 gm) Green Chilli (Chopped)
1/2 Tsp(1.0 gm) Jeera
1/4 Tsp(0.6 gm) Haldi
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
1 Tsp(3.0 ml) Oil
As Required(150.0 ml) Water
  • In a kadhai, add 1 tsp of oil,1/2 tsp each of jeera and chopped green chilli.

  • Then add 1 tbsp of chopped onion and saute for a minute.

  • Next, add 1/2 tbsp of chopped tomato, 1/4th tsp each of haldi and salt and mix well.

  • Add 2.5 tbsp of soaked and cooked moong dal and mix well.

  • Add 100 ml of water and cook till the mix thickens.

  • Garnish with 1 tbsp of chopped pudina leaves.

  • Sprinkle some pomegranate seeds on top for a nutritional twist and serve hot.
