- Step 1 Heat a kadhai, add 1 tsp oil, 1/2 tsp each of jeera and chopped green chilli.
- Step 2 Add 1 tbsp chopped onion and saute until soft
- Step 3 Add 1/2 tbsp chopped tomato, 1/4 tsp each of haldi and salt and mix well.
- Step 4 Add cooked moong dal, little water and mix well
- Step 5 Simmer over low flame until all flavors combine well
- Step 6 Garnish with 1 tsp chopped pudina leaves.
- Step 7 Give it a Nestle twist by adding pomegranate
- Step 8 Serve hot with rice or chapati.
