Potato Onion Soup Recipe

Potato onion soup is a heartwarming, beautiful, hearty, full-flavoured soup. This soup is creamy without cream, slightly sweet from a base of onions, and as cosy as your favourite blanket. It’s nutrient-dense and bone warming.

Nutritional info

1/4 Cup(42.0 gm) Potato (Diced)
1/8 Cup(15.0 gm) Onion (Diced)
1/8 Tsp(0.37 gm) Black Pepper (Powder)
1 Tsp(4.0 gm) Butter
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
As Required(150.0 ml) Water
  • Heat 1 tsp butter in a frying pan at a low flame, add 1/8th cup diced Onion and sauté.

  • Once the onions turn slightly transparent, 4 tbsp Chopped Potato and pour in a little water.

  • Add 1/4th tsp salt along with 1/4th tsp black pepper, mix properly and cook for a few minutes.

  • Take off the flame, pour the soup in a blender and blend it till a soup like consistency is obtained.

  • Garnish with a coriander leaf.

  • Serve hot.
