Posto chicken is a traditional Bengali delicacy prepared with succulent chicken pieces in poppy seeds gravy that serves as a perfect side dish to be paired with rotis or rice to complete any meal.

For the vegetable
In a pan, heat 1 tsp mustard oil.
Add 1/4 tsp saunf and kalonji, 3 tbsp tomato puree, 2 tbsp posto paste, 1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste and saute.
Add 1 tsp chopped green chilli, 1/2 tsp red chilly powder, 1/2 tsp haldi, 1/2 tsp garam masala, 1/4 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp sugar. Mix well.
Add water, 5 pieces chicken breast and mix well.
Cover and allow to cook until well cooked.
Serve hot with rotis or rice.
