Pomfret Curry Recipe

A tangy, spicy Pomfret curry is high in protein and omega-3 fatty acids. In addition, Pomfret fish is also high in Vitamin D. This delectable curry pairs well with rice or neer dosa and is a must-try.

2.0 Tbsp(31.0 gm) Coconut Milk
1/2 Chopped Tsp(0.46 gm) Coriander Leaves
1/2 Tsp(3.0 gm) Ginger Garlic Paste
1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Tamarind
1/2 Powder Tsp(1.0 gm) Red Chilly
0.13 Tsp(0.3 gm) Haldi
0.13 Tsp(0.56 gm) Salt
2.0 Tsp(7.0 ml) Oil
40.0 Ml(40.0 ml) Water
  • For the marination

    Take 120 gm pomfret fish pieces, add 1/2 tsp red chilly powder, 1/8th tsp haldi, 1/8th tsp salt, 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1/2 tsp tamarind pulp.

  • Marinate the fish and keep it aside.

  • Take a pan and heat 2 tsp oil.

  • Add the marinated fish pieces.

  • Shallow fry the fish on both the sides.

  • Add water and mix well.

  • Add 2 tbsp coconut milk.

  • Sprinkle 1/2 tsp chopped coriander leaves.

  • Mix and cook well.

  • Serve it with rice.
