  • To prepare khaman batter in a bowl, first, add 1/4 cup soaked poha and 2 tbsp suji.

  • Then, add 1/2 cup curd, 1/4th tsp salt, and 1/8th tsp haldi.

  • Add sufficient water and mix well.

  • Season with 1/2 tsp fruit salt and mix well.

  • Next, grease a mould with oil and pour the batter.

  • Steam it thoroughly.

  • For the tempering, heat 2 tsp oil.

  • Add 1/4 tsp rai, 1/8th tsp hing and 6 leaves of kadi patta.

  • Add the spluttering temper on top of the prepared khaman.

  • Serve hot.
