Poha Dhokla Chaat Recipe

Want to make your dhokla more nutritious and healthy add Poha powder to the batter. Poha adds more fiber to it along with iron. This simple, soft and spongy dhokla chaat can be an ideal mid-evening snack for kids too.

1/8 Tsp(0.54 gm) Fruit Salt
5.5 Tbsp(80.0 gm) Nestlé A+ Curd
1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Tamarind
1/8 Tsp(0.56 gm) Salt
1 Tbsp(8.0 gm) Sev
1/4 Powder Tsp(0.54 gm) Red Chilly
1 Tsp(4.0 ml) Lemon Juice
1 Chopped Tbsp(8.0 gm) Onion
2 Chopped Tbsp(25.0 gm) Tomato
2 Powder Tbsp(22.0 gm) Poha
1 Tsp(3.0 ml) Oil
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Sugar
1/8 Tsp(0.37 gm) Hing
1/4 Tsp(0.93 gm) Rai
4 Number(0.44 gm) Kadi Patta
1/8 Chopped Tsp(0.27 gm) Green Chilli
1 Tbsp(10.0 gm) Besan
  • In a bowl take 2 tbsp poha powder,1 tbsp besan, 1/2 tsp sugar, 1/4 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp hing.

  • Now add 1/8 tsp chopped green chilli, 1/3 cup Nestlé A+ Curd, 1/8 tsp fruit salt and mix all the ingredients well.

  • Grease a plate with 1/2 tsp oil and carefully pour prepared batter into the plate.

  • Steam it for 10 mins.

  • Insert a toothpick to check if the dhokla is ready.

  • For Tadka

    Heat 1 tsp oil in a small pan.

  • Add 1/4 tsp rai, 4 kadi patta and let it

  • crackle.

  • Pour the hot tadka onto the dhokla.

  • For Chaat

    Add 1/2 tsp tamarind on top of dhokla.

  • Add 1 tbsp chopped onion , 2 tbsp chopped tomato.

  • Put 1 tsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp sev, 1/4 tsp red chilly powder and 1/8 tsp salt on top.

  • Serve fresh.
