Plain Naan With Butter Recipe

A crispy Indian flatbread made with a combination of flours and roasted to give it a crisp texture, goes well with any side of veg or chicken dish.

3.0 Tbsp(26.0 gm) Wheat Flour (Whole)
2.0 Tbsp(11.0 gm) Maida
1.0 Tbsp(11.0 ml) Nestlé A+ Milk
1.0 Tbsp(14.0 gm) Nestlé A+ Curd
1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Black Til
1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Butter
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
5.0 Ml(5.0 ml) Water
  • For dough

    In a bowl, add 3 tbsp whole wheat flour, 1.5 tbsp maida, 1 tbsp Nestlé A+ Curd, 1 tbsp Nestlé A+ Milk and 1/4th tsp salt.

  • Mix all the ingredients and knead it into a smooth dough.

  • Rest the dough for 5 minutes.

  • For Plain Naan

    Take a small portion of dough, put 1/2 tsp black til and roll into a naan.

  • Brush some water on naan and put it on a heated pan.

  • Roast it evenly using 1/2 tsp butter until both sides turn light brown in colour and are well cooked.

  • Serve hot with dry or gravy vegetable.
