Pista Barfi Recipe

100 Gm(100.0 gm) Pista
1 Tbsp(8.0 gm) Pista (Chopped)
2 Tbsp(20.0 gm) Khoa
2.5 Tbsp(32.0 gm) Sugar
1/8 Tsp(0.24 gm) Green Elaichi (Powder)
2 Tbsp(30.0 gm) Ghee
As Required(50.0 ml) Water
  • Start preparations by soaking 100gm of pista in warm water for two hours.

  • Drain the pista and peel off the skin.

  • Leave it to dry and grind dried pista to a paste.

  • In a pan, add sugar 2.5 tbsp and water as required.

  • Boil it till one strand consistency.

  • To this add prepared pista paste and mix well for 3 min.

  • Now, add 1/8 tsp green elaichi powder, 2 tbsp khoa, and 2 tbsp ghee.

  • Mix continuously till the mixture starts to leave the pan.

  • Take a tin, spread 1 tbsp chopped pista and transfer the mixture to the tin.

  • Chill in refrigerator till it sets and later cut into pieces.

  • Tasty pista barfi is ready to serve.
