Paneer Pakoda Recipe

Paneer pakoda is a popular recipe from north Indian cuisine. A simple snack dish filled with spiced paneer cubes which makes it rich in protein and has a coated crispy texture outside. An ideal starter dish or evening snack dish which goes perfectly with green chutney or tomato sauce.

1/2 Cup(61.0 gm) Besan
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Ginger Garlic Paste
1/8 Tsp(0.29 gm) Ajwain
1/4 Tsp(0.54 gm) Red Chilly(Powder)
1/4 Tsp(0.6 gm) Haldi
1/8 Tsp(0.18 gm) Garam Masala
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
For Fying(7.0 ml) Oil
As Required(20.0 ml) Water
  • In a mixing bowl, add 1/2 cup besan.

  • Add 1/4 tsp salt.

  • Add 1/4 tsp red chilly powder.

  • Add 1/4 tsp Haldi.

  • Add 1/8 tsp garam masala.

  • Add 1/8 tsp ajwain.

  • Add 1/4 tsp ginger garlic paste.

  • Add water to adjust consistency and mix well.

  • Heat oil for frying.

  • Add 6 cubes paneer in the besan batter and Coat the paneer with batter.

  • Heat Oil for deep frying, drop paneer cubes in hot oil and fry them from all sides.

  • Remove the paneer cubes once they turn crispy, and serve hot with your favorite chutney and ketchup.
