Paneer Butter Masala Recipe

Paneer Butter Masala is an all time favorite North Indian dish. In this recipe, the Paneer is mixed in a creamy tomato based curry and best served with any Indian bread. The paneer is an excellent vegetarian protein source and is filled with calcium and selenium.

1/4 Cup(31.0 gm) Onion (Diced)

1 Tbsp(13.0 gm) Cream

3 No.(2.0 gm) Red Chilly

1 Tbsp(10.0 gm) Cashewnut (Chopped)

1 Tsp(0.92 gm) Coriander Leaves (Chopped)

1/4 Tsp(0.54 gm) Red Chilly Powder

1/4 Tsp(0.37 gm) Garam Masala

1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Salt

1 Tsp(3.0 ml) Oil

1.5 Tsp(6.0 gm) Butter

As Require(100.0 ml) Water
  • For the paste,

  • Heat 1 tsp oil in a fresh kadhai. Add 1/4th cup diced onion and sauté till golden brown.

  • Add 3 whole red dry chillies, 1 tbsp cashew, 1/4th cup diced tomato and let it cook for a while.

  • Remove from flame and cool it down.

  • Transfer in a mixer and grind the mixture into a paste. Keep aside.

  • For the gravy,

  • Melt 1.5 tsp butter in a kadhai.

  • add 1/4th tsp red chilli powder, onion paste, water and mix it well.

  • Now add 1/4th tsp garam masala powder and 1/2 tsp salt. Mix well.

  • Cover and cook for a while.

  • Add a little water, 1 tbsp fresh cream and 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves and mix.

  • Finally add 1/4th cup paneer cubes and stir till the gravy coats the paneer well.

  • Pour in a clean bowl and serve hot.
