Spinach Moong Dal Curry Recipe

A protein and iron packed dish usually paired with either rotis or rice is a perfect nutrient dense gravy.

1/4 Cup(14.0 gm) Palak (Chopped)

1/2 Tsp(1.0 gm) Jeera

1/4 Tsp(0.93 gm) Rai

1/2 Tsp(1.0 gm) Haldi

ingredients
1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Salt

1.5 Tsp(5.0 ml) Oil

  • Cook 3 tbsp moong dal and keep aside.

  • In a nonstick pan, heat 1.5 tsp oil.

  • Add 1/4th tsp rai, 1/4th tsp jeera, 1/4th tsp hing, 2 tbsp chopped onion and cook until they turn light brown.

  • Then add 2 tbsp chopped tomato, 1/2 tsp haldi and the cooked moong dal. Mix well.

  • Add 1/4th cup chopped spinach to the dal and mix again.

  • Add 1/2 tsp salt and water.

  • Cover and let it simmer for a while.

  • Stir the dal and sprinkle 1/4th tsp crushed jeera

  • Serve hot with rice.
