Padval bhaji Recipe

Snake gourd or padwal is very common in our meals, it’s healthy, easy to make and quick cooking vegetable. This simple recipe is everyone's favorites and it goes really well with roti, dal, kadhi as a side.

1/2 Cup(71.0 gm) Snake Gourd (Diced)

1/4 Cup(28.0 gm) Onion (Chopped )

2 Tbsp(25.0 gm) Tomato (Chopped)
ingredients
1/2 Tsp(1.0 gm) Garlic (Chopped)
ingredients
1/4 Tsp(0.59 gm) Jeera
ingredients
1/4 Tsp(0.54 gm) Red Chilly Powder

1/8 Tsp(0.29 gm) Haldi
ingredients
1/8 Tsp(0.54 gm) Salt
ingredients
1 Tsp(3.0 ml) Oil
ingredients
As Required(50.0 ml) Water
  • Take a kadhai, heat 1 tsp oil.

  • Add 1/4th tsp jeera, 1 tsp chopped garlic, 1/4th cup chopped onion and saute until golden brown.

  • Add 1/8th tsp salt, 1/2 tsp red chilliy powder, 1/8th tsp haldi and 2 tbsp chopped tomato, little water, 1/2 cup diced snake gourd and mix well.

  • Add some more water, cover & cook till water dries out.

  • Serve hot with chapatti.
