- Step 1 Mash 2.5 tbsp chopped dates & keep aside.
- Step 2 Whisk 1 egg white gradually adding mashed dates and keep aside.
- Step 3 In another bowl, add 1/8 cup oil with 1 egg yolk, 1/4 cup orange juice, and 1 tsp orange extract and whisk it well.
- Step 4 Then add, 1/2 cup whole wheat flour, 3/4 tsp baking powder and 1/4 tsp baking soda and mix well.
- Step 5 Once mixed, add 1/8 tsp salt.
- Step 6 Give a Nestle Twist by adding almonds.
- Step 7 Fold the above mixture into the egg white mixture. Grease a cake tin and pour the batter evenly.
- Step 8 Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius and bake at 180 for 25 mins.
- Step 9 Check with a toothpick if the cake is ready.
- Step 10 Serve delicious orange chiffon cake.
