Onion Rice - Duplicate Recipe

A quick and easy recipe of steamed rice laced with fried onions and flavored with the freshness of coriander leaves makes a nutritious lunch or dinner option with any side dish of your choice.

2 Tbsp(26.0 gm) Rice
1/4 Cup(29.0 gm) Onion (Julienne)
1/2 Tsp(1.0 gm) Jeera
1/4 Tsp(0.53 gm) Green Chilli(Chopped)
1 Tsp(0.92 gm) Coriander Leaves(Chopped )
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
1.5 Tsp(5.0 ml) Oil
  • Wash and cook 2 tbsp rice and keep aside.

  • In a thick bottom pan, heat 1.5 tsp oil.

  • To that add 1/4th cup julienne onions and fry till golden brown.

  • Add 1/2 tsp jeera, 1/4th chopped green chilli and saute well.

  • Then add 4 tbsp cooked rice, 1/8th tsp salt and mix well.

  • Finally add 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves.

  • Stir and serve hot.
