This spicy,sweet and tangy Onion Chutney, a very traditional South Indian recipe, is one of Desi’s favorite sides for dosa or idli. But one can smear it on just about anything, from a breakfast wrap to toast. Because it is just so delicious and so versatile.
In a mixer grinder, add 4 tbsp chopped onion, 1 tbsp chopped fresh coconut, 1 tbsp tur dal, 1/4th tsp jeera, 1/4th tsp rai, Add 1/4 tsp Chopped Ginger 1/2 tsp chopped ginger, 1/8th tsp hing, 1/4th tsp salt, 1 red chilly & 1 (medium) green chilli, 1/2 tsp oil, water and make thick
a fine paste out of it.
