Oats Upma Recipe

Kick start your mornings with a sumptuous oats upma, that's packed with calcium-enriched sesame seeds, antioxidant-rich vegetables and a generous portion of dietary fiber.

4.0 Tbsp(30.0 gm) Oats
3.0 Chopped Tbsp(24.0 gm) Onion
2.0 Chopped Tbsp(25.0 gm) Tomato
1.0 Chopped Tsp(2.0 gm) Green Chilli
1/4 Tsp(0.93 gm) Rai
1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Salt
1.0 Tbsp(8.0 ml) Oil
100.0 Ml(100.0 ml) Water
  • Heat a kadhai, and add 1 tsp oil.

  • Add 1/4 tsp rai and let it crackle.

  • Then, add 2 tbsp of chopped onion, 1 tbsp of chopped tomato, 1/4 tsp salt and 1 tsp chopped green chilli.

  • Saute all the ingredients well.

  • Add 2 tbsp oats, required amount of water and stir well.

  • Sprinkle some white sesame seeds for a nutritional twist.

  • Serve hot.
