Oats Muthiya (Deep Fried Oats Roll) Recipe

Oats adds texture and nutrients to muthias, the popular Gujarati snack. Its very easy to make and adds tons of fiber.

2 Tbsp(19.0 gm) Carrot(Grated)

2 Tsp(8.0 gm) Curd

1 Tsp(4.0 ml) Lemon Juice
ingredients
1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Black Til

1/4 Tsp(1.0 gm) Green Chilli Paste
ingredients
1/8 Tsp(0.29 gm) Haldi
ingredients
1/4 Tsp(0.44 gm) Jeera Powder
ingredients
1/2 Tsp(2.0 gm) Salt

For Frying(16.0 ml) Oil
  • Take a mixing bowl to add 3 tbsp oats flour, 1 tbsp suji, 2 tbsp grated carrot, 1/4th tsp green chilli paste, 1/8th tsp turmeric powder, 1/4th tsp jeera powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp lemon juice, 1/2 tsp black til and 2 tsp curd.

  • Mix with a spoon making sure all the ingredients are evenly distributed and roll it to make oblong shaped muthiya.

  • Heat oil at a low flame in a frying pan.

  • Fry the muthiya on both sides till crispy and golden brown.

  • Garnish with coriander.

  • Serve hot with ketchup.
